Rain doesn't CINK Tiger's focus or mission
Tiger Woods won for the 52nd time on the PGA Tour today in rain-soaked Ohio, winning the World Golf Championships--Bridgestone Invitiational by defeating Stuart Cink on the 4th playoff hole as the rains poured down. Tiger blew a three-shot lead down the stretch, an occurrence that happens as often as ... nothing. As far as this writer knows it's never happened, and it may never happen. Tiger wins because of talent, but also because of an amazing work ethic and ability to stick to his overall plan in every phase of his life. He executes the plan at all times. All of the talk is about Tiger catching Jack Nicklaus' record 18 pro majors. Well, maybe Tiger already has. With the Bridgestone win, Tiger now has a dozen World Golf Championship (WGC) wins under his belt, to match the dozen Major wins that he has. The WGC events have as stong a field as the Majors--in some cases better--and the depth of field is far better than when Nicklaus was collecting trophies. To us here at Business Under Par, we're saying Tiger has 24 major victories, and he has already passed the Golden Bear. When it is all said and done, Tiger may have 50 combined Majors and WGC tournament victories. All he has to do is stick to his plan. Are you sticking to yours? |
